BARSTOW (EAP) -- In an apparent act of rage over her husband eating a cookie shaped like Jesus, Mrs. Tom Robinson of Barstow California beat her husband over the head repeatedly with a rolling pin, causing severe trauma and death to her husband yesterday evening. Mrs. Robinson reports that she'd baked a batch of gingerbread cookies earlier in the day, and shaped one of the cookies like Jesus on the cross, and planned on keeping it by her bedside to nibble on while she said her nightly prayers. "I get very hungry while praying to Jesus," she said. The Jesus cookie was layed out to cool, and upon arriving home from work, Tom was hungry, and ate the cookie without realizing what he was doing. Mrs. Robinson said she felt some sort of spirit overtake her, and couldn't control her violent behavior. Investigators discovered several other cookie figures in Robinson's bedside drawer, including one of the Pope, and one of Elvis which was nibbled away to a mere head and torso. "Charges are still pending on the incident," said Barstow district attorney Fred Johnson. "Mrs. Robinson is currently under psychiatric evaluation, and we're waiting for more reports from her doctors before we press any charges." |
